Know-it-all people arearrogant, conceited, and annoying. They constantly interrupt others and jump into conversations to inject their knowledge, answer some questions nobody have asked them, and offer unsolicited advice and help. They explain or have an opinion about everything.
S/he could undermine our self-esteem and professional image by providing a “more competent and knowledgeable” opinion regarding any issue, project, etc. They thrive on arguments and heated discussions to gain attention and prove their knowledge, but they may also avoid commitment, responsibilities, and hard work whenever they can. They don’t really want to get their hands dirty by doing any of the work. They may be scared to commit to something that may not work out.
They are almost unteachable because they hate being corrected and proven wrong, have poor listening skills, their self-worth and ego is tied to their knowledge and competence, and they cannot admit their mistakes, but, boy, they like showing off their knowledge, correcting and teaching others.
All decisions involve risks and uncertainty, and results are not always guaranteed.
