What is a cookie?

Cookies are small files that are installed on your computer, telephone or any other devices and serve as a tool for storage and retrieval of information, containing details of your browsing history, preferences (language, country, etc.) or information about the date and time of your last visit, traffic parameters within the website or number of visits.

What type of cookies do exist?

For example, controlling traffic and data communication, identifying the session, accessing restricted access areas, sharing content via social networks, remembering the items that make up an order, carrying out the purchase process of an order, etc.

  2. Customization cookies: are those that allow the user to choose or personalize characteristics of the web page such as language, browser, regional configuration, settings, etc.

  3. Analysis cookies: are used for monitoring and analyzing the behavior of users. The information gathered through such cookies are used in measuring the activity of websites and for the profiling of user navigation in order to make improvements on function data analysis of how users use the service.

  4. Advertising cookies: they allow the management in the most effective way of advertising spaces that the publisher has included on a website, application or platform from where they provide the requested service based on criteria such as the edited content or the frequency in which ads are displayed.

  5. Behavioural advertising cookies: they allow the management in the most effective way of advertising spaces that the publisher has included on a website, application or platform where they provide the requested service. These cookies store information about user behavior obtained through the continuous observation of the browsing habits, allowing to develop a specific profile to display ads based on the user.
