Everything is a search engine that locates files and folders by filename instantly for Windows.
Wox is an effective launcher for windows. Launch it: Alt + Space. It searches for files, folders, and programs on your computer using Everything, just type a file, e.g., default.yml. It allows to perform web searches: google (g search_term), wiki (wiki search_term), duckduckgo (duckduckgo search_term), youtube (youtube search_term), etc.; run commands directly from the Wox interface (replace Windows-R) (e.g., > ping www.google.com, > ipconfig), do mathematical calculations (5*2-7). It provides system related commands: settings (you can tweak Wox), shutdown, restart, sleep, etc.
Ditto is an advanced clipboard manager for Windows.

Frostwire is a free and open-source bitTorrent client (peer-to-peer file sharing P2P).

Other free torrent clients are: qBittorrent, Deluge (“a lightweight, free software, cross-platform BitTorrent client”), and Vuze.

TightVNC is a free remote control software package. “With TightVNC, you can see the desktop of a remote machine and control it with your local mouse and keyboard, just like you would do it sitting in the front of that computer.” It is free for both personal and commercial usage and cross-platform.

Another alternative is TeamViewer. It is a software solution for remote support, remote access, and online collaboration. It is available to everyone completely free of charge for personal, non-commercial use.

FileZilla is a fast and reliable cross-platform FTP, FTPS (FTP with Security) and SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol, a secure file transfer protocol) client with lots of useful features and an intuitive graphical user interface.
1. Install it in Ubuntu: sudo apt-get install filezilla. 2. File, Site Manager and create a New Site: General (Host, Username, Password), Advanced (Default local and remote directories), etc. 3. Finally, you can connect to your website and start transferring files and directories from and to your server.
